Expressions of Gratitude

Hitotsubashi University has prepared return gifts to express our deep appreciation to those who donate certain set amounts to the Frontier 4 Foundation.

Register of Donors

All donors will have their names added to the Frontier 4 Foundation Register of Donors, thus becoming a permanent part of University history.

Donors are also introduced in Hitotsubashi Quarterly (HQ), the University’s PR magazine. (Those who wish to remain anonymous can choose not to have their names published.)

Appreciation Awards

The following awards will be presented to those who make large donations.

  • Distinguished Donor Award (Donations of ¥1 million or more by individuals; ¥5 million or more by corporations)
  • Special Distinguished Donor Award (Donations of ¥10 million or more by individuals; ¥50 million or more by corporations)
  • Honored Donor Award (Donations of ¥30 million or more by individuals; ¥100 million or more by corporations)
  • Eiichi Shibusawa Mercury Award (Donations of ¥100 million or more by individuals)

Eiichi Shibusawa was instrumental in founding the Institute for Business Training and developing it into a university. He contributed to the support and maintenance of the University throughout his life, helping to overcome several crises it encountered.

Plaque of Honor

Donors’ names will be engraved on plaques and given a permanent place of honor in the Main Building.

Bronze Donations of ¥300,000 or more by individuals; ¥1 million or more by corporations
Silver Donations of ¥300,000 or more by individuals; ¥1 million or more by corporations
Gold Donations of ¥10 million or more by individuals; ¥50 million or more by corporations
Platinum Donations of ¥30 million or more by individuals; ¥100 million or more by corporations

Plaque of Honor

Invitations to Parties and Other Events

Donors at the Special Distinguished Donor level or higher will be invited to special parties held by the University president, as well as such events as Homecoming Day, entrance ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, and other important school events.

Publications

Donors will receive a free subscription to the Hitotsubashi Quarterly and receive the Hitotsubashi University Guidebook.
